I did exhaustive research and ended up finding Alexander’s reviews. I wasn’t sure if I was the right demographic, but Alexander was very warm and listened —really listened— to what I wanted. I left thrilled and I’ve stayed thrilled for years. I’ve never had results like this. My hair is really beautiful and it’s so much less damaged than it’s been in previous years. The results also last, with the grow out process looking so good.

This is certainly the longest I have seen any stylist, because I’ve consistently been happy with the work he’s done for 10 years. I’m just really happy every time with how my hair looks. My hair has been healthier overall. I really don’t do very much to style it. Maybe I should, but I don’t feel like I need to, it looks just how I want it to after a simple blow-dry.

I was trying to find a person that actually cared about my hair, in the way that I wanted someone to care. Being trans, it’s hard to find someone that makes you feel incredibly safe. With Alexander, I can ask for the style I want without any need to explain why I want it. The process felt collaborative between me as a client and him as the designer of my hair, and it was beautiful. I’ve seen my hair just overall feel dramatically better.

I choose to see Alexander over any other stylist in the area because I know that I’m not going to get the same quality of hair and experience from any other stylist. He’s also just a really cool person. He’s knowledgable about many things, and he’s fun to talk to. I went from having very damaged blonde hair to slowly but surely figuring out what works for me. My hair has transformed from unmanageable to totally conditioned and beautiful. Alexander also cuts my hair like no other hairdresser has ever cut my hair, it is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten.

Consistency would be the one word I would choose. Alexander consistently does an amazing job. I’ve never had a problem, so I know that if I’m going to take the time to drive to Seattle and spend the money, I’m going to love my hair. We’ve gone very blonde, dark, long, and short. I’ve gotten to see my hair in so many ways, and it was done well every time.

I was just looking for someone to see short term, but then I couldn’t quit Alexander. I love that he’s into design, and that’s evident in his attention to detail. When I came in I had five different colors going on in my hair, and he was detailed and thorough in fixing it. The color gives me flexibility with how my gray hair grows in. My hair has more depth, I like the shape of my hair better, and the color is more rich.

I first saw Alexander because I wasn’t happy with the blonde I was receiving; it was either barely visible or not at all blended. I think what surprised me most was how amazing the blonde came out. From day one, I haven’t been disappointed. Everyone tells me how amazing it looks. Regardless of how much time I spend between visits, it always grows out great and looks healthy.

I had just moved to Seattle and I liked Alexander’s work online. Throughout 10 years of seeing him, Alexander has adapted to my style over time. We started our journey with purple colored hair, and as I have gotten older we’ve moved to colors that are more natural. No matter what I’m after I know I’m going to get a good haircut, the color is going to look awesome, and it will look great from when I leave the chair to when I come back. I don’t have to worry about it, it always looks amazing. He figures out where I’m at in my life and what the hair needs to be to meet me there.

I know I can trust Alexander to do anything and it will always look amazing. I don’t have to worry; there is no anxiety coming in when he’s doing my hair.
